Personal stylist in London & the Cotswolds
About Zoë
Helping you connect with your style and take away the guesswork. Showing you the most flattering styles, shapes and colours for you, so that you can concentrate on being your most confident self.
Look good, feel better!
I have so many clothes, yet nothing to wear!
Sound familiar?
Knowing what to wear and how to wear it, can sometimes feel like walking a tightrope. Certainly as most people are holding down busy jobs, running a family or dealing with demanding commitments that it leaves little time for a highly curated wardrobe! From my wealth of experience of working as a personal stylist in London and with clients from all over the world, I can help to create perfect looks to work for you and your lifestyle and show you how to pull it all together, effortlessly.
Hi again, it’s Zoë
I like to think I’m a personal stylist with a difference… it’s actually less about the clothes, and more about YOU & our beautiful world.
I love helping people achieve their potential. That’s why I love my job so much. There is no better feeling than seeing a client flourish and live their purpose with their new found confidence.
I care passionately about our environment and the natural world. I am committed to helping clients dress ‘smarter’ by investing in well chosen pieces that serve you for years to come, and helping to lessen the impact that fast fashion is having on our planet.
Sound like we’re a fit?
The back story…
Every step of my journey has led to gathering skills and experiences that make me the well rounded, and in demand personal stylist I am today (permission to toot my own horn?!)
Take a scroll down memory lane…
Early Days
I have loved fashion & style since childhood and would often dress up school friends for fun and host fashion shoots in my back garden. I was always trying new fashions, and adapting my clothes and going shopping on the weekend with my pocket money - I loved experimenting with my image. A turning point came however in my early teens, when I developed a minor - but rather unsightly - skin condition on my hands which made me very self conscious and I lost confidence. It was because of this that I found a way to utilise my clothes and accessories to detract from it and which helped my self esteem and gave me an appreciation for the power of accessories!
Qualifications & Experience
With a burning desire to pursue my passion for fashion, I went on to complete a degree in fashion design and knitwear in 2000 and completed an industrial year placement for Marks and Spencer and collaborated on a project with fashion designer Julien Macdonald (now chief designer at Givenchy), which was featured in their flagship store in London.
In addition to this, I undertook and later received a diploma in Counselling Skills awarded by ABC Awarding Organisation. This additional level of skill helps with the work I undertake with my clients for the very best experience.
Working as a Personal Stylist
From 2009 I was able to build my reputation as a Personal Stylist in London by establishing and heading up high profile personal styling services. I loved the feeling of helping clients feel great about themselves and what they could go on to achieve with their new found confidence. I knew I had found my vocation.
Working with Mary Portas
Then, in the summer of 2011, I was delighted to be selected from thousands of applicants for a small team of stylists as part of a directional new womenswear brand by Mary Portas, in conjunction with House of Fraser. This was specifically aimed at 40+ women who were feeling overlooked and sidelined by the industry and it felt great to be part of this positive change. This was also featured as part of a TV documentary, ‘Mary Queen Of Frocks’ on channel 4.
Presenting on QVC
In 2015, I became a Guest Presenter on QVC Shopping Channel, talking to the nation about fashion, style and trends and how to wear them, whilst showcasing some of the world’s most well known and loved brands.
Today
In 2020 I made the move and embraced a long-held dream of living in the countryside in the heart of the Cotswolds. I regularly commute to London for work (as an executive assistant running the busy lives of senior corporate executives, I know how to bring order to the chaos! It’s my thing!) and enjoy contributing to regional and national BBC radio on matters relating to fast fashion, retail trends and topical stories.
I enjoy drawing and often love to create quick, simple fashion doodles alongside working with private clients.
A revelation
Meeting Zoe and having a styling session with her was a revelation for me: as an actor I have never been great at dressing myself as myself! It’s done for you when you work, as a character, but it’s really important to be able to present yourself with style to help give you an edge when meeting for jobs. Zoe showed me how to put looks together with clothes I already had, that made me feel a special kind of confidence: at the next casting I had, the casting director kept telling me how fabulous I looked, I got that job, and since then the effect has continued
